Moments in “Fast X” that I felt was bizarre even for this franchise (THIS IS ALL SPOILERS):

1) Pete Davidson randomly shows up just to be Pete Davidson.

2) Jason Momoa’s performance felt like they just told him to act like Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter. Or just a Jojo villain in general.

3) Letty and Cipher get sent to Antarctica, where Gisele just shows up at the end in a submarine despite clearly dying in the 6th one. That’s LITERALLY how the movie ended.

4) They got Alan Ritchson (the guy from Reacher) to play a buff CIA agent who hates barbecues and families. Also, maybe this is just me, but I felt like he was also Jason Momoa’s love interest? I just got the vibes.

5) The weird shot of the camera following Vin Diesel’s muscles which led into the car’s engines.

6) There was a 15-minute sequence where they chased a nuclear bomb that was rolling around the streets of Rome.

7) John Cena using three tequila bottles to power his mini plane.

8) Tyrese taped millions of dollars on his shirt and was just carrying that around the whole movie.

9) Rita Moreno was randomly there as Vin Diesel’s grandma.

10, EDIT) I forgot one other moment. Because F9 retconned Tokyo Drift, there was a sequence where the Agents of SHIELD (I know they’re the “Agency”, but it was basically Marvel’s SHIELD) are reviewing footage of their previous missions. One mission featured clips from Tokyo Drift.

Alright good people I have seen Fast X! Thoughts will be under the cut for spoilers. It gets pretty long.

First and foremost! I absolutely loved how the stakes managed to top F9; I didn’t think they could outdo going into space but they did it! Holy crap son!

Dante motherloving Reyes! At first I was gonna say that is all but that will not do him justice. Dante is hands down the best freaking villain this franchise ever had. Jason Momoa understood the assignment and cemented himself a fav. My dude was so hammy and absolutely took over every scene he was in. And his villainy, the way he deconstructed the power of family, how he got everyone on his side? *Chef’s kiss*

Aimes, this dude. I will give the writing for this dude props. When you go into the Fast movies you usually expect whatever government person (like Brian, Hobbs, Palindrome in Spy Racers) to side with Dom and his crew. This dude did not, deadass pulled a Riley and I should’ve peeped he was a bad guy the moment he vehemently said he hates barbeques and family. Who hurt you dude? Anyhoo when he shot down the plane with Tej, Ramsey, Han, and Roman had me sit up in the movie theater. I later burst out laughing after finding out the guy who plays Aimes also played Aquaman on Smallville.

Speaking of Roman; that dude finally got some character development! The plane scene with him and Tej almost (mind you almost) made me scream in the movie theater. I honestly did not think that he would, I was to used to homeboy being just mostly comic relief.

We need to talk about Jakob. You do NOT give me fun uncle Jake and then do THAT. Nope, no, that’s just disrespectful. In a series known for bringing back dead people he better had, I don’t care how convoluted, lived.

So ngl I was surfing Google on my phone and got spoiled TWICE OVER about Gisele and Luke. Honestly I shouldn’t be surprised about Gisele because like I just said regarding Jakob, people don’t truly die in this franchise. Also if Owen can somehow survive what happened to him, Gisele can survive being shot and falling out of that hummer on to the tarmac. The Rock coming back? Now that was a surprise. Because of the infamous hostility between him and Vin Diesel, I really didn’t see him coming back. Maybe to do Hobbs and Shaw 2 but that’s it.

I remember back in like 2013/2014 there was mentioning of a female lead Fast movie. With the way this movie was set up I can now see the players for this. You got Letty, Gisele, Cipher (as the obviously token evil teammate), possibly Tess and possibly Isabel for this team. I also say bring in Ms. Nowhere from Spy Racers due to the fact that one of the Agency members who declined to go after Dom was a female. It could’ve been her and it would make a nice connection with Spy Racers.

Anyway I am definitely waiting for Fast 11 because I need to see how this all ends. That cliffhanger they left us with? Had me on the edge of my seat. There’s really no one possibly save for Hobbs who can help them and he’s somewhere else. Ramsey and the crew are severely injured, Letty is in Antarctica while Cipher, Jakob’s possibly dead, and Mia is...somewhere. Deckard is off to help his mother. The stakes have truly been raised for the coming end of this franchise.

Nobody asked for it but here is a review of the game Test test test.

Released the January 17th, 2024 on steam by the Indonesian indie studio, toge productions, and Mojiken studios, Test test test is a short puzzle game (point and click) about a worker, who’s late on his work. More info at the end of this post, but be aware of the spoilers.

So. Why do I liked this game and why do I think it was incredible even if the game is about one hour and a half long ? Okay.

First : it’s free. We like what it’s free. It made us save money to buy stupid shit. So we like this game.

Second : I love puzzle games. And everything is well done in this one : the enigmas are good, the solutions aren’t simple but it’s not impossible either. It’s really well done for that, so puzzle game’s lovers, go !

Third : it’s not very long. I mean, it could be a negative point but to be honest, it’s cool to have a short game to play from time to time.

Fourth : the enigmas are original, some are very smart. Things are not that classic, so it’s surprising when you find out the solution.

Fifth : you feel really involved in the game, in the universe. You’re in the game, you feel this want to finish it.

Sixth : it’s funny to scream stuff at people who doesn’t know a thing about the game to them.

Seventh : it’s free. What the hell do you risk by testing it ?

Note : recommended for those who liked there is no game.

There is a very cool use of 15min temporal loops, some « secret languages » you can decrypt.

Between finding a key in an aquarium and having to go to the 60th floor of a building, the game is very fun !

Fast X Ending Review

If you don’t know, Fast X is the latest and most recent movie out right now from the fast and furious series. Spoiler if you haven’t seen the movie yet and plan to stop here.

In the movie it starts off with a preview of F9: The fast Saga, when they were stealing the vault out of the bank. But the plot twist is it’s in the new character (Danta) point of view, who is the son of Hernan Reyes, the man whose vault it is. It shows where he comes to play and why he hates Dom so much and wants him to suffer.

The movie ends off with Danta and his corrupted partner blowing up a plane Dom’s family/friends are on and the plan seemingly crashes out of sight. Along with Danta having Dom and his son in a corner with no where to go and explosives all around them. Obviously showing fans there will be a part 2 later down the line. Some seem to think the plane crash killed his friends/family, but others like myself think there is no way they could have died. I personally think they found a way out and/or Letty (Dom’s wife) will find them and save them somehow with the submarine they stole a couple movies back!

What do you think will happen ?

Heard about how a choice in Phantom Liberty can result in auto-saves getting deleted? (From somewhere in the middle of the storyline; not the one that can lock you out of the story altogether.) Is there any truth to that?

Unfortunately, as random as it is, I probably have a somewhat direct answer for this! I'm going to put what my experience has been under the cut and it WILL contain minor spoilers for PL :)

My immediate answer is YES, it does because it did directly happen to me! I ran as many endings as I could on launch but did not make an appropriate save at a key point that would have been suitable to return to the first time around. This made me have to play the game from my oldest dedicated save (around the time that Reed calls you before chasing the twins car I believe) which was extremely inconveniencing but of my own doing :(

I am a Dishonored 1/2/DOTO heavy player so my fingers immediately always gravitate to F5 / F9 and all I made were gone! There are also very limited save points after that, as the cutscenes with Kurt & as the twins are heavy and repetitive from my experience (although I might've just missed key points.) As well as I had noticed this occurring on a few instances before that (sometime during President Myer's interactions, and after the phone call cutscene with Johnny.)

In all likelihood this was a direct choice by CD to either encourage re-playability, a design choice to encourage player accountability (if that makes sense?) or an oversight. I can easily see the management of auto saves on the DLC getting brushed under the rug for the ladder, although I find it hard to believe that they would purposefully enact such an oversight in that regard after their horrible launch. In all honestly, I also can't imagine it as a ploy to encourage replay either as Cyberpunk77/PL has always (and you can fight me on this one) BEST PLAYED and experienced blind and with the "do what you think is right" mindset. This gives the player the most VULENERABLE experience with the game and it's story; so it leads me to believe that this was an intentional choice, as holding the player accountable during the story is the WHOLE point of Phantom Liberty : ) Upon final research, I can't definitively say if this is entirely true as there's very limited information online; but I hope this gave you some of my insight!

Just finished Deathloop. Felt extremely underwhelmed. Went to youtube to see other endings. Still feeling disappointed. That's what I get for avoiding all the spoilers for this game (i was so excited to play it and learn the story), and the price that I bought it on sale for feels too much for this game.

Oh well.

At least I now get to play a new game that allows to f5-f9 and doesn't erase your progress and your weapons and all collectibles if you unfortunately die or the game crashes (which sometimes happens cause the optimization on pc is so bad).

Dishonored, Dishonored 2, and Death of the Outsider still remain the greatest games Bethesda ever made. Sure, you look from a new perspective at them after Deathloop, those could also be improved. Sut DH is not about joy and bright scenery, after all, so totally understandable. If only DH didn't punish people that want to go berserk and give more opportunities to people that want to go full stealth, no kills.

Same goes for Deathloop. I went into it wishing go zero kills & it turns out it's not even an option. You have to kill. Kill every single person on the map, if you have/want to. But at the same time it's not its typical fist person shooter? A mix of it with abilities from Dishonored? But you can only use two of them during an entire loop, so most of them are useless (but you still have to infuse in them 'cause the games asks you to.) The more I think about it, the sadder I get. No rich fulfilling story, no breathtaking ending. Again, why?

I'd only recommend this game for a very low price. Very underwhelming, and after 32 hours I still have no idea why I did all those missions.

I HOPE SHE DOES!!!!!

This absolutely needs to happen!! This would put a nice ending to the weird love triangle that she has had with Roman and Tej. They are amazing friends, and I love them, BUT much like Fate8, where she asked them what her last name was, they lacked the history and chemistry to push any romantic relationship between the three.

Not to mention, it feels like if a relationship started with either guy, it feels like she's just a trophy because there haven't been any one-on-one scenes to help build that type of relationship with either one of them. The entirety of F9, including all the directors' cuts, all include moments between Roman and Tej. Regardless of romantic or platonic feelings, they have a stronger bond.

There haven't been moments just with Ramsey! There is nothing to build on aside from almost one-sided flirtation.

--SPOILERS FOR FAST X--

I will say there was one flirtatious moment between Romsey and Tej, teasing marriage mainly because she started to gain knowledge on cars and tech. It wasn't much, but it was cute. In my opinion, I wouldn't say it was anything more than friendly teasing. Not to mention, Roman has more self conflicting feelings of wanting to be a good leader and standing out more instead of just being the dumb-foodie-playboy everyone perceives him to be. That and the self guilt of leading a mission that was a trap.

I understand that everything is crazy, and this is the first part of a hopefully three part ending, so there isn't time to really add any of the softer moments. BUT they did so this with Roman and Tej!!!!

They had great moments where they were tussling over money at the shop, which Han commented on as a bonding moment, which culminated in the plane scene!!! This was another brotherly bonding moment with Tej comforting Roman about the whole situation and making sure he felt Roman shouldn't take the full blame.

All three have great chemistry together, but if I think it would be amazing and so funny for her to just say she's gay or even in a passing moment, say she has a girlfriend!!! In conclusion...

THE FAST FAMILY IS STARTING TO GROW SO MUCH LET SOME OF THEM BE GAY!!!!!!

So is Ramsey getting a girlfriend in Fast X? Starting to see behind the scenes stuff…. There’s actually quite a few female characters being introduced so she has options.

Mia glared at Dom, who stood across from her on the other side of her kitchen

"We're going, Dom." She told him firmly

It was late when she had called him and told him to come over. She needed to talk to him urgently and she didn't care what time it was.

"No."

Mia grinded her teeth even more. "Dom, I swear-"

"He messed up. I'm not giving him a second chance."

"Are you kidding me?!" Mia hissed. She desperately wanted to scream and get into his face but not when her kids were sleeping upstairs. And she knew Brian was awake upstairs, keeping an ear on them just in case something happened. "He's been out of our lives for years, comes back and now you want to throw him out again?"

"He only came back into our lives for the Ares device."

"I don't care!" Mia snarled back. "He's our brother and I don't want to lose him again!"

She watched as Dom's emotionless mask started to weaken

"It's not that simple-" he began

"It's not? Why isn't it?" She snapped

Dom glared at her but stayed silent

Shaking her head, Mia felt tired. They had been having this fight for years and it never went anywhere. But this time, Mia was going to force Dom to go with her to see Jakob

"I know where he is. He's been giving me updates after what happened. We should go see him."

"Go without me." Dom grunted

"Dom." She sighed. "I want him back. I want him to meet my kids, I want them to know they have another uncle. Don't you want Little Brian to have the same?"

Dom looked away from her before turning his back on her

"We'll leave in the morning." He said over his shoulder and left

Stunned, Mia listened as his car peeled out of the driveway and down the street

Stretching, Jakob yawned loudly as warm rays of sunlight streamed into the luxurious beach house he had rented. Outside the window, he could hear the soft crashing of waves and birds singing

Smiling softly, he turned his face away from the beautiful sight outside and looked down at the one next to him

Owen was still sleeping peacefully next to him, face shoved into a pillow so the sunlight wouldn't bother him. The sheet was tangled around his feet and he was wearing sleep pants with dogs on them

Reaching down, Jakob combed a hand through Owen's much longer hair and chuckled at the sleepy grumble the other man made

"Get up, Owen. I'll go make breakfast."

He only got a groan in response as he slid out of bed and out of the bedroom. He knew he'd be coming back in to wake Owen up, probably having to physically get him out of the bed

Tying his robe loosely around his waist, Jakob walked towards the fully stalked kitchen. But stopped when he heard the doorbell

His hand immediately went for one of the extra guns he had hidden around the house. You could never be too sure when one of your enemies were going to come knocking

Slowly, Jakob made his way towards the door and used the peephole to look out

"The fuck are they doing here?" Jakob hissed and pocketed the gun. They would see it, but he didnt really care all that much. Swinging the door open, Jakob glared out at his brother and sister

Mia gave him a tentative smile while Dom tried to give a neutral expression

"Hi, Jakob." Mia said softly and took a step forward

Jakob didn't hesitate to open his arms for his little sister and couldn't believe how big she was. When he had left, she had been a little girl, just barely in her teens. Now, she was an adult, with a family and husband

He wished he hadn't missed so much of his sister's life

"What are you doing here?" He asked wheb she finally pulled away

"We wanted to talk." Mia looked up at him sadly. "Our family shouldn't be split up like this."

Jakob glanced at Dom and could see the warring emotions in his eyes. Squaring his shoulders, Jakob nodded

There wouldn't be any harm in talking to them

Opening the door more, he motioned them to enter. Shutting it behind them, he opened his mouth to say something before a thought slammed into him

Owen

"Give me a second." He grunted and walked away before either could say anything

Speed walking down the hallway, Jakob let out a breath of relief when he saw Owen still asleep. Quietly, Jakob approached the sleeping Shaw

"Owen." He whispered and gently shook his shoulder

"Nnngh." Owen moaned

"Owen, I need you to stay in here until I tell you. I have a business meeting right now and they don't know you're here."

The other man only shoved his face deeper into the pillow. Shaking his head, Jakob rolled his eyes and left him to sleep. Locking the door behind him, he only hoped Owen would get the message

He didn't need his brother and sister learning he was gay. Not like this at least

Stepping back into the main living area, he saw Mia sitting on the kitchen and Dom standing by a large window. Glancing between them, Jakob wasn't sure what to say

"I think," Mia spoke up. "We need to talk about what happened to Dad."

Jakob clenched his jaw and refused to look over at Dom. He had already explained his side of the story

"Why was he in debt?"

Blinking, Jakob was surprised Dom had willingly spoken up and had asked a question rather than start accusing him

"Gambling debts." Jakob told them. "He never had any luck but was convinced he would win big and pay it all back. He never did."

"And the race?" Mia asked quietly, almost as if she didn't want the answer

"The men he owned money to were betting against him. Told him he could pay a lot of it back by losing the race."

He saw the grief in both of their faces as he explained. No doubt they wished they could have helped their dad so he didn't have to resort to such measures

"Sounds just like my da."

Jakob's eyes went wide as he heard the suave voice behind him. He could see the equally shocked looks on his siblings faces

"What are you doing here, Shaw?" Dom growled

Jakob's eyes widened. How did Dom know Owen? Looking over his shoulder, Jakob didn't enjoy seeing the mischievous glint in Owen's eyes. The other man smirked at him as he walked further into the living room, still shirtless

"Was enjoying a nice vacation," Owen drawled and draped and arm over Jakob's shoulders. Without thinking, Jakob wrapped an arm around Owen. "Wasn't expecting company."

"They came unannounced." Jakob said, looking between the three

"Jakob, how do you know him?" Mia's face was so soft, Jakob almost didn't hear the hint of anger underneath it

"We shag occasionally." Owen shrugged

"Owen!" Jakob hissed and glared at him, but the smaller man only smiled up at him sweetly. Letting out a huff of frustration, Jakob looked back at Dom and Mia. "Look, this isn't how I wanted to tell you guys-"

"That you're sleeping with the guy who kidnapped me?" Mia snapped

"-that I'm gay." Jakob finished at the same time and stared at Mia, who stared back at him just as shocked

Before he could even ask for an explanation to that, a thundercloud of anger passed over Mia's face. Instinctively, Jakob tightened his arm around Owen

"What the hell, Dom?!" Mia screeched and stormed up to their older brother. "Did you really kick him out because he's gay?!"

Dom looked as if he was slapped as his mouth hung open and he made an odd grunting noise. This didn't appease Mia as she got into his space and shoved at his shoulder

"Did you actually throw him out because of Dad or because of who he's attracted to? I thought you were better than that!"

"I didn't know he was gay!" Dom finally snapped

Jakob could only stare as Mia continued to lay into Dom. After a minute, he felt Owen slip out of his grip

"Im going to take a shower. Come get me when they leave." Owen whispered in his ear before sauntering out of the room and leaving Jakob to deal with the mess
